Plaintiffs filed an action against defendant asserting causes of action for injuries allegedly sustained in a motor vehicle accident and for loss of consortium. The complaint alleges that plaintiff sustained damages in the amount according to proof. The proof of service filed on October 26, 2018 declares that defendant was personally served the summons, complaint, and statement of damages on October 25, 2018. Default was entered against defendant on February 25, 2019.
Plaintiffs seek judgment entered in the amount of $260,081.12 in special damages, $1,800,000 in general damages, and costs of $839.89 for a total judgment amount of $2,060,921.01
The court is unable to find any authenticated copy of the statement of damages declared to have been served on defendant in the courts file.
