accordance with the Labor-Management Relations Act and operates a self-funded benefit plan
and provides employee health care and welfare benefits to its plan enrollees. Plaintiff DRMC is a
licensed acute-care hospital. DRMC provided services to a patient who was seriously injured in a
motorcycle crash. DRMC now asserts that Teamsters must now reimburse DRMC for the cost of
covered services in an amount exceeding $550,000. DRMC’s Complaint alleges specifically that
Teamsters had an agreement with Anthem Blue Cross of California that would allow its enrollees
to receive discounted rates for health care servic
