Biography

The Hon. Chaney W. Taylor, Jr. is a judge for the Independence County District Court in Arkansas. He was re-elected to the bench in 2016.

Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy in 1981. He spent the next several years working as a pharmacist before completing a J.D. at the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1991.

His memberships have included the Batesville Planning Commission and the Arkansas House of Representatives.

He identifies as a Methodist.
