Biography

The Hon. Crystal A. Edmonson Levonius is a judge for the 481st District Court in Denton County, Texas. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Greg Abbott on December 8, 2021.

Prior to her appointment, Levonius was a managing member of Crystal Levonius Law. Before that, she spent time as an assistant district attorney for the Collin County District Attorney’s Office.

Levonius earned a bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University. She then completed a J.D. at Southwestern Law School in 1999. She is admitted to practice in Texas and New Mexico.

Her memberships have included the Denton County Bar Association, the Denton County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Texas District & County Attorneys Association, and the Collin County Bar Association. She has also been involved with Taking A Step Against Colon Cancer, the Frisco ISD Mentor Program, and Feed the Hunger.

A resident of Flower Mound, Texas, Levonius has co-led the Little Flowers Christian Girls Club. She has also served as a team manager for FC Legends United Soccer Club.

She is registered as a Republican.
