Biography

Hon. Jacob D. Winkler is a judge for the Miami County Superior Court in Indiana. He was elected to the bench in 2022.


Prior to his election, Winkler worked as a deputy prosecutor with the Miami County Prosecutor’s Office. During his tenure there, he handled the county’s Title IV-D Child Support Enforcement program and juvenile delinquency cases, as well as assisted with major felony cases.


Before that, he spent almost ten years managing a solo practice in Kokomo, leaving his practice in 2019 to become a deputy prosecutor.


Winkler received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Kokomo. He went on to complete a J.D. at Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2011.
