Biography

The Hon. James R. Pratt (Ret.) served as an associate district judge for the McIntosh County District Court in Oklahoma. Pratt was elected to the bench in 2006 and re-elected in 2010 and 2014. He retired at the conclusion of his term on January 13, 2019.

Prior to his election, Pratt worked as an attorney in private practice. He also spent time as an assistant district attorney for the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office as well as a senior agent for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Pratt was named Judge of the Year by the Oklahoma CASA Association (2013).

He was admitted to the State Bar of Oklahoma in 1977.
