Biography

The Hon. Vincente G. Vigil is a judge for the 19th Judicial District Court of Colorado. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Jared Polis on August 1, 2019.

The 19th Judicial District encompasses Weld County.

Prior to his appointment, Vigil was an attorney with the Law Office of Robert Ray, a law firm he joined in 2014. Before that, he was a partner at Man & Vigil.

Vigil earned a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University in 2005. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Colorado Law School in 2008.

After graduating from law school, Vigil began his legal career as a deputy state public defender for the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office.

His memberships have included the Weld County Bar Association, the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association, and the Colorado Bar Association.

Born and raised in Weld County, Vigil was a resident of Greeley, Colorado, at the time of his appointment. He and his wife have three children.
