Judge Adel A. Harb - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Adel A. Harb is a judge for the Third Circuit Court in Michigan. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Rick Snyder on October 22, 2015, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. Daniel Ryan.

Prior to his appointment, Harb was a magistrate for the 19th District Court of Michigan in Dearborn. Before that, he spent time as an attorney in private practice, handling civil, criminal, and family law matters.

Harb earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from Western Michigan University. He then completed a J.D. at Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1990.

His memberships have included the boards of the Great Lakes Council of the Boy Scouts and the Wounded Warriors of Michigan.
