Judge Aleksandra Dimitrijevic: Professional Background and Legal Expertise

The Hon. Aleksandra Dimitrijevic is a judge for the Lake County Superior Court in Indiana. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Eric Holcomb in 2019, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Jesse Villalpando.

Prior to her appointment, Dimitrijevic was a deputy prosecuting attorney for the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office. She spent more than fifteen years with the office, most recently handling the prosecution of violent crimes.

Dimitrijevic earned a bachelor’s degree from Boston University. She then completed a J.D. at Indiana University, Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2000.
