Biography

Hon. Barbara Hatfield is a special judge for the Canadian County District Court (District 26) in Oklahoma. She was appointed to the bench by the Canadian County District judges in February 2011.

Prior to her appointment, Hatfield was an attorney with Legal Aid Services of Western Oklahoma and Oklahoma Child Support Services and was a former assistant district attorney.

She received a bachelor’s degree from Belmont Abbey College in 1980. Hatfield went on to complete a J.D. at Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1984. She also obtained certification as a Certified Public Manager by the State of Oklahoma in 2013.

In 2013, Hatfield received the George C. Askew Award from the American Academy of Certified Managers and the Good Work Award for the best Certified Public Manager Project.
