Judge Beverly Wickstrom - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Beverly Wickstrom is a judge for the Eau Claire County Circuit Court in the Tenth Judicial District of Wisconsin. She was elected to the bench in 2022.

Prior to her election, Wickstrom was a partner at Gingras, Thomsen & Wachs LLP, where she had practice since 2019. Before that, she was a partner at Gingras, Cates & Wachs (2017 to 2019) and Richie, Wickstrom & Wachs (1989 to 2017). She first joined the firm as an attorney in 1987. Wickstrom had also practiced as an attorney at Garvey, Anderson, Kelly & Ryberg, S.C. (1983 to 1987).

She received a B.A. in history and political science from Lawrence University in 1980. Wickstrom went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1983.

She was admitted to practice in Wisconsin (1983), the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin (1983), and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit (1987).

Her memberships have included the American Bar Association, the Eau Claire County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Wisconsin Association for Justice (past president).

Wickstrom has also served on the Interfaith Hospitality Network Board of Trustees, the Eau Claire County Democratic Party (chair), the Friends of Eau Claire Regional Arts Center, Clearwater Kiwanis, and the City of Eau Claire Revolving Loan Fund Committee.

She was raised in Ripon, Wisconsin, and has resided in Eau County since 1983. Wickstrom and her husband, a fellow attorney, have three children. When not presiding over legal matters, she enjoys traveling, the arts, snowshoeing, photography, and cooking. Wickstrom has donated her photos to charitable events, and she sells them to local galleries.
