Judge Bradley A. Burback: Professional Background and Legal Expertise

The Hon. Bradley A. Burback is a judge for the Jefferson County Court in Colorado. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Bill Ritter in 2008.

Prior to his appointment, Burback was a magistrate for the 1st Judicial District Court, a position to which he was named in 2006. Before that, he spent time as a deputy district attorney for the 1st Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

Burback earned a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Baltimore School of Law.

His memberships have included the Jefferson County Corrections Board and the Colorado Supreme Court’s Committee on Criminal Jury Instructions.

A veteran of the United States Navy, Burback has been actively involved with Operation Standby, a pro bono project designed to assist military members and their dependents with legal issues.
