Biography

The Hon. Carolyn W. Partridge is an assistant judge for the Windham County Superior Court in Vermont. She was elected to the bench on November 8, 2022, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. Patricia Duff.


Prior to her election, Partridge represented Windham-3 District as a member of the Vermont House of Representatives, a position to which she was named in 1999. During her tenure there, she held assignments on the Agriculture and Forestry Committee.


Partridge earned a bachelor’s degree in oceanography from New York University in 1971.


Her memberships have included the Windham Community Organization. She has also been involved with the Board of Neighborhood Connections in Londonderry and on the Advisory Board of Northeastern Family Institute.


She is a recipient of the Stephanie Bourdeau Leadership in Agriculture Award from the Vermont Farm Bureau.


Born and raised in New Jersey, Partridge attended Westfield High School. She relocated to Vermont in 1972. She and her husband, Alan, operate a farm in Windham, where they sell hand-dyed yarn sheared from their herd of sheep and goats. The couple has three sons. They attend Windham Congregational Church.


She is registered as a Democrat.
