Biography

The Hon. Christopher C. Nash is a judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida in Hillsborough County. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Rick Scott on May 1, 2015, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. Charles Bergmann.

Prior to his appointment, Nash sat as a judge for the Hillsborough County Court, a position to which he was named on May 6, 2013. Before that, he spent time as a partner at Leavengood & Nash (2004 to 2013).

Nash earned a bachelor’s degree in political science (1993) and a master’s degree in business administration (1997) from the University of Florida. He also completed a J.D. at the University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin College of Law, in 1997.

Two years after graduating from law school, Nash entered into private practice. He started as an associate at Ketchey Horan. Then, in 2000, he became an associate at Akerman Senterfitt. He worked in that capacity until 2004.

His memberships have included the George Edgecomb Bar Association, the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the Tampa Bay American Inns of Court (president).

Nash was a resident of Tampa, Florida, at the time of his appointment.
