Judge Daniel R. Lindemann - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Daniel R. Lindemann is a judge for the Vicinage 12 Superior Court in Union County in New Jersey. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Chris Christie in 2013 and reappointed for tenure in 2020.

Since that time, Lindemann has held assignments in the Family Division (2013 to 2017), Criminal Division (2017 to 2020), and Civil Division (2020 to present) in Union County. While presiding in the Criminal Division, Lindemann returned to the Family Division on a temporary assignment.

At the time of his appointment, he was working as a sole practitioner at his own private practice, a position he had held since 2008. Before that, Lindemann was an attorney at the law firm of Dughi & Hewit (1991 to 2008).

He received a B.A. from Valparaiso University in 1984. Lindemann went on to complete a J.D. at Indiana University Bloomington, Maurer School of Law in 1987.

After graduating from law school, he began his legal career as a law clerk to the Hon. Burrell Ives Humphreys with the New Jersey Superior Court.
