Judge E. Scott Bradley: Professional Background and Legal Expertise

The Hon. E. Scott Bradley (Ret.) served as a judge for the New Castle County Superior Court in Delaware. Bradley was appointed to the bench by former Governor Tom Carper on April 7, 2000. He retired on May 1, 2020.

Bradley earned a B.S. in accounting from the University of Delaware in 1980. He spent the next four years working as an account analyst at DuPont. Then, in 1987, he completed a J.D. at Widener University School of Law.

After graduating from law school, Bradley entered into private practice. He worked as an attorney at Young, Conaway, Stargatt & Taylor, rising through the ranks to become a partner. He worked in that capacity until his appointment to the bench, specializing in general civil litigation and real estate and zoning law.

His memberships have included the American Bar Association, the Delaware State Bar Association, the Sussex County Bar Association, and the Terry-Carey American Inn of Court.

Born and raised in Delaware, Bradley graduated from Seaford High School.

He is registered as a Republican.
