Judge Frank J. Castro - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Frank J. Castro is a judge for the 399th District Court in Bexar County, Texas. He was elected to the bench in 2016 and re-elected in 2020.

Over the course of his judicial career, Castro has presided over the Bexar County Felony Veterans Court.

Castro earned a J.D. from St. Mary's University School of Law in 2003.

After graduating from law school, Castro worked as a prosecutor, a personal injury attorney, and a criminal defense attorney.

Castro was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. When not presiding over legal proceedings, he enjoys spending time with friends and family in Horseshoe Bay, where he jet skis and boats.

He is registered as a Democrat.
