Judge Frank Marriott - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Frank Marriott (Ret.) served as a judge for the 7th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. Marriott was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jeb Bush in 2003, filling a vacancy created by the elevation of the Hon. David A. Monaco to Florida’s Fifth District Court of Appeal. He retired on January 2, 2017.

The 7th Judicial Circuit encompasses Flagler County, Putnam County, St. Johns County, and Volusia County.

Prior to his appointment, Marriott was a judge for the Volusia County Court, a position to which he was named in 2000. Before that, he spent twenty-five years as a civil trial attorney in private practice.

Marriott earned a bachelor’s degree from Norwich University and completed his J.D. at Stetson University College of Law.
