Judge Jack D. Ewing - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Jack D. Ewing is a judge for the Galveston County Court at Law No. 3 in Texas. He was elected to the bench in 2014 and re-elected in 2018 and 2022.

Ewing earned a B.S. in political science from St. Mary's University. Then, in 1986, he completed a J.D. at South Texas College of Law Houston.

After graduating from law school, Ewing entered into private practice, handling criminal, civil, and family law cases for the next twenty-eight years.

Born and raised in Galveston County, Ewing graduated from La Marque High School. He has served as a youth pastor as well as a senior pastor at Faith Community Church at Bayou.
