Judge Jane C. Levy - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Jane C. Levy is a judge for the 2nd Judicial District Court of New Mexico in Bernalillo County. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Susana Martinez on November 29, 2016.

During her judicial tenure, Levy has served as Presiding Judge of the 2nd Judicial District Family Court.

Prior to her appointment, she was an associate at Geer, Wissel, Levy, P.A., a firm started by her mother, the Hon. Susan M. Conway, and her father, Robert D. Levy, in 1977. Levy began her practice there in 2004. She also served as a Guardian ad Litem and a facilitator/mediator.

She received a bachelor’s degree from Beloit College. Levy went on to complete a J.D. at Lewis & Clark Law School (2004) and an M.A. in counseling psychology from Lewis & Clark School of Education and Counseling (2011).

Her mother also presided as a Family Court judge in the 2nd Judicial District after being appointed to the bench in 1985.
