Hon. Jeffrey R. Ingraham is a judge for the Mercer County Court of Common Pleas (General Division) in Ohio. He was appointed to the bench in 1991.
During his judicial tenure, Ingraham helped create the Mercer County Drug Court Program in conjunction with the Foundations Behavioral Health Services in 2014 and also implemented a judicially required parenting program for individuals with children who are either in the process of ending their marriage or are seeking changes to parental rights.
Prior to his appointment, Ingraham had worked as an assistant prosecuting attorney with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office since 1978 and also acted as a solicitor for the City of Celina for two years (1975 to 1977). He began his legal career in private practice, a position he held until joining the Common Pleas bench.
He received a B.A. from Wittenberg University in 1972. Ingraham went on to complete a J.D. at Ohio Northern University, Claude W. Pettit College of Law in 1975.
His memberships have included the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Mercer County Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Foundation, the Ohio Common Pleas Judges Association, the Ohio Association of Domestic Relations Judges and Magistrates, the Ohio Community Corrections Advisory Board, the Ohio Jury Management Association, the American Judges Association, and the American Judicature Society.
Ingraham has also sat on the Ohio Supreme Court Domestic Violence Task Force (co-chair), the Center for Prevention of Family and Community Violence Advisory Council (co-chair), the Domestic Violence Advisory Committee, and the Ohio State Bar Association Bench-Bar Planning Committee.
In addition, he served as a curriculum planner and presenter for Judicial Education Courses for the Ohio Judicial College and was a mediator of Conflict Resolution for the Government Officials Program.
From a civic standpoint, Ingraham was involved with the Celina Rotary Club (charter president), the Lake Festival planning committee, and the Community Improvement Corporation of Celina.
He and his wife, Susie, have two grown children.
