Biography

The Hon. Jennifer A. Henry is a judge for the Suffolk County District Court in the Tenth Judicial District of New York. She was elected to the District Court bench in 2009 and re-elected in 2014.


She received her B.A. from California State University, Sacramento in 1989. She went on to earn her J.D. from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1993.


Henry began her legal career as an assistant district attorney with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, where she was assigned to the Major Crime Bureau.


In 2001, she served briefly as an acting village justice of the Babylon Village Court in Suffolk County.


Prior to her election to the District Court, Henry was serving as a court attorney referee with the Law Department of the Suffolk County Supreme Court. While at the New York State Unified Court System, Henry also served as a law clerk to the Hon. Michael F. Mullen, an Acting Justice of the Suffolk County Supreme Court.
