Judge Joel S. Agron - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Joel S. Agron is a judge for the Superior Court of San Bernardino County in California. He was appointed to the bench by former governor Jerry Brown on December 22, 2017, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Gerard S. Brown.

Agron earned a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. He then completed a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

He began his legal career as an associate at the Law Office of Randall Knox in 1995. Two years later, he left the firm and started his own private practice as a sole practitioner.

Then, in 2002, he joined the Office of the Public Defender of San Bernardino County as a deputy public defender. He served there for fourteen years, eventually leaving after his appointment to the Superior Court of San Bernardino County as a court commissioner in 2016.

Agron was a resident of Whitewater, California at the time of his appointment.

He is registered as a Democrat.
