Biography

The Hon. John P. Cronin (Ret.) was an associate justice of the Essex County Probate and Family Court in Massachusetts. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Bill Weld in 1992. Cronin retired in 2013.


Prior to joining the bench, he was vice president and general counsel for the Boston & Maine Corp. Cronin also practiced as an associate and partner at Barron & Stadfeld, P.C.


He received a bachelor’s degree at George Washington University in 1969. Cronin also completed a J.D. at George Washington University Law Center in 1972.
