Biography

Hon. Julie R. Selmon is a judge for the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas (General and Domestic Relations Division) in Ohio. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Bob Taft in March 2006.


Prior to her appointment, Selmon held positions in both the public and private sectors. At the time, she was working as an assistant prosecuting attorney with the Noble County Prosecutor’s Office and as a private practice attorney.


She also practiced as an attorney at the Smith & Coury Law Office and spent time as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Monroe County.


Selmon received a B.A. in political science. She went on to complete a J.D. at Capital University Law School.
