Biography

The Hon. Justine E. Del Muro is a judge for the 16th Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Mel Carnahan on July 30, 1993.


Prior to her appointment, Del Muro worked as an attorney at the Popham Law Firm. She also spent time as a staff attorney with Legal Aid of Western Missouri as well as the Office of the Jackson County Public Defender.


Del Muro earned a bachelor’s degree in speech and hearing sciences and psychology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1978. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1984.


Her memberships have included the Missouri Bar Association, the Hispanic Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Association of Women Lawyers.


She is a recipient of the David J. Dixon Appellate Advocacy Award (1990) and the Hon. H. Michael Coburn Community Service Award (2002).
