Judge Kathryn M. Bailey - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Kathryn M. Bailey is an associate justice for the Worcester County Probate and Family Court in Massachusetts. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Deval Patrick on July 23, 2014, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Susan D. Ricci.

Prior to her appointment, Bailey was a partner at Bailey & Burke, a law firm located in Clinton. She practiced with her husband and father-in-law, specializing in family law, domestic relations, real estate, estate planning, probate, and personal injury matters. She also spent time as a bar advocate for CPCS.

Bailey earned a bachelor’s degree in English and political science from Assumption College in 1993. She then completed a J.D. at Massachusetts School of Law in 1996.

Raised in Clinton, Bailey was a resident of Lancaster at the time of her appointment.
