Biography

Hon. Mark J. Bartolotta is a judge for the Lake County Court of Common Pleas (Probate Division) in Ohio. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor John Kasich in September 2013 to fill the vacancy created by the passing of the Hon. Ted Klammer (deceased).


Bartolotta received a B.S.B.A. in finance from the University of Akron. He went on to complete a J.D. at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.


Prior to his appointment, Bartolotta was the chief assistant prosecutor in the Criminal Division of the Geauga County Prosecutor’s Office, a position to which he was named just prior to assuming the bench. His legal career also included working as an assistant prosecuting attorney with the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office, where he handled major felonies. Bartolotta joined that office in 1992.


He also taught as an instructor at Lake Erie College and Lakeland Community College.


Bartolotta is registered as a Republican.


At the time of his appointment, he resided in Concord Township.
