Biography

The Hon. Martha M. Snow is a judge for the Third Circuit Court in Michigan. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Rick Snyder on December 7, 2012, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. Gershwin Drain.

Prior to her appointment, Snow was a shareholder at Xuereb Snow PC, a law firm based in Canton. Before that, she spent time as an associate at Pepper & Associates, a shareholder at Martha M. Snow PC, and a special assistant attorney general for the Michigan Office of the Attorney General. Snow specialized in family law matters, supplementing her practice with collection, criminal law, probate, real estate, and general civil cases.

Snow earned a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University. She then completed a J.D. at Wayne State University Law School. She was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1991.

Her memberships have included the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission, the Northville Township Planning Commission, and the Board of Directors of the Community Alliance Credit Union and the Canton Chamber of Commerce. She has also been involved with the Canton Rotary and the Canton-Plymouth Giving Hope Women's Giving Circle.

She was a resident of Northville, Michigan, at the time of her appointment. She attends St. Kenneth Catholic Church.
