Biography

The Hon. Matthew M. Foxman is a judge for the 7th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. He was elected to the bench in 2010 and re-elected without opposition in 2016.


The 7th Judicial Circuit encompasses Flagler County, Putnam County, St. Johns County, and Volusia County. Foxman has held assignments in Flagler and Volusia Counties, presiding over criminal, juvenile delinquency, juvenile dependency, and family law cases.


Prior to his election, Foxman spent ten years as an assistant state attorney in the Office of the State Attorney for the 7th Judicial Circuit.


Foxman earned a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University. He then completed a J.D. at Stetson University College of Law.


His memberships have included the Family Law Section of the Volusia County Bar Association.


Foxman has been married to the Hon. Karen A. Foxman, a judge for the 7th Judicial Circuit Court. His brother, the Hon. David Foxman, has served as a judge for the Volusia County Court.
