Judge Megan Julian - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Megan Julian is an associate circuit judge for the 21st Judicial Circuit Court (Division 33) of Missouri. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Mike Parson in May 2022, filling the vacancy created by the elevation of the Hon. Heather Cunningham to circuit judge.

The 21st Judicial Circuit includes St. Louis County.

During her judicial tenure, Julian has held an assignment in the Associate Civil Divison.

Prior to her appointment, she worked for fourteen years as an assistant prosecuting attorney with the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where she was a member of the Sexual Assault Team and the Domestic Violence Team. Julian also served as a full-time treatment court commissioner for the 21st Judicial Circuit Court.

She received a B.A. in psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1998. Julian went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Missouri School of Law in 2002.

At the time of her appointment, she resided in Des Peres, Missouri.
