Biography

The Hon. Michael M. Mohun is a judge for the Wyoming County Court Multi-Bench in the Eighth Judicial District of New York. The Multi-Bench in Wyoming County encompasses its County, Family, and Surrogate’s Courts. He was elected to the bench in 2014.

Mohun began his judicial career as town justice for the Town of Bennington in 1998. During his seven-year tenure there, he also served as an acting village justice for the Village of Perry (2002) and the Village of Warsaw (2003 to 2004).

Prior to joining the bench, Mohun worked as a sole practitioner in his own private practice. Before that, he was a partner at Brown & Mohun as well as a partner at Mohun & Killelea.

Mohun earned a B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1976. Then, in 1980, he completed a J.D. at the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School.
