Judge Orlando Marrazzo, Jr. - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Orlando Marrazzo, Jr. is a Justice of the Richmond County Supreme Court in the Thirteenth Judicial District of New York. He was elected to the Supreme Court bench in 2019. Previously, Justice Marrazzo had served as a judge for the New York City Housing Court in Richmond County, after being elected to the seat in 2010. During his tenure on the Housing Court, he also served as an Acting Justice in Richmond County.

He is a registered Democrat.

Justice Marrazzo received his B.A. from Wagner College. He also holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.

Prior to becoming a judge, he practiced as a partner at Marrazzo and Dollard from 1980 to 2009. Before joining the firm, Marrazzo had worked in solo practice since 1976.

His memberships have included serving as the director of the Richmond County Bar Association and a past president of the New York District Kiwanis Foundation.

Justice Marrazzo has also served as a member of the Character and Fitness Committee, Second Department.
