Biography

Hon. R. Trent Pipes is a special judge for the Oklahoma County District Court (District 7) in Oklahoma. He joined the bench in 2018.

During his judicial tenure, Pipes has presided over the Civil and Criminal Dockets.

Before joining the bench, he had managed his own private solo practice since 2012. Before that, he was an attorney at Dunlap Codding, P.C. (2000 to 2012) and Shadid & Pipes (1985 to 2000).

He received a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma City University in 1979. Pipes went on to complete a J.D. at Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1985.

He was admitted to practice in Oklahoma (1985), the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma (1985), the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma (2000), the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, and the United States Supreme Court.
