Judge Rebecca L. Persick - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Rebecca L. Persick is a judge for the Sheboygan County Circuit Court in the Fourth Judicial District of Wisconsin. She was elected to the bench in 2015.

Prior to her election, Persick was a court commissioner for the Sheboygan County Circuit Court, having been appointed to the position by the judges of the court in 2003. In that capacity, she was tasked with presiding over bail hearings and initial appearances in felony, misdemeanor, and criminal traffic cases.

Persick received a B.A. from Lawrence University in 1990. She went on to complete a J.D. at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1994.

Persick was a past president of the Sheboygan County Bar Association and a member of the American Association of University Women (Sheboygan Branch). She has sat on the Pretrial Risk Assessment Committee, the Sheboygan County United Way Campaign Ad Hoc Committee, and the Judicial Education Committee.

Persick was also a volunteer with WisLAP (Lawyers Assistance Program) and Courts Connecting with Communities.

At the time of her election, she resided in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
