Biography

The Hon. Reid P. Scott, II is a judge for the 15th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida in Palm Beach County. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Ron DeSantis in 2023, filling the vacancy created by the elevation of the Hon. Paige Kilbane to the Florida Fifth District Court of Appeal.

Prior to his appointment, Scott was an assistant state attorney for the Office of the State Attorney for the 15th Judicial Circuit since 2006. During his tenure there, he was promoted to chief of the homicide unit in 2021.

He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. Scott then completed a J.D. at Stetson University College of Law.

He resided in Wellington, Florida, at the time of his appointment.
