Biography

The Hon. Roger G. Gilbert (Ret.) served as a judge for the Butte County Superior Court in California. Gilbert was appointed to the bench by former Governor George Deukmejian in 1984. He retired in 2007.


Prior to his appointment, Gilbert was a public defender for the Butte County Office of the Public Defender.


Gilbert earned a bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University. He then completed a J.D. at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
