Judge Samantha Schosberg Feuer - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Samantha Schosberg Feuer is a judge for the 15th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida in Palm Beach County. She was elected to the bench in 2014.

During her judicial tenure, Feuer has held assignments in the Criminal, Family, and Probate/Guardianship Divisions.

She received a B.S. in international relations and Spanish from Tufts University in 1998. Feuer then completed a J.D. at the University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin College of Law, in 2002.

After graduating from law school, she began her legal career with the Office of the State Attorney for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, where she served as an assistant state attorney for three years. Then, in 2006, Feuer relocated to the State Attorney's Office for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit, maintaining her position there until 2009. It was at that time, she became an assistant attorney general with the Florida Office of the Attorney General, where she was assigned to the Economic Crime Unit. In 2011, Feuer began a tenure as the bureau chief of the Economic Crime Unit for the Attorney General's South Florida Office. She remained with the office until 2013.

Feuer then entered private practice at Akerman, LLP, where she practiced briefly until her election to the bench the following year. Her area of practice focused on complex commercial litigation, more specifically, civil racketeering (RICO) matters.

Her committee memberships have included The Florida Bar's Standing Committee for Mental Health and Wellness and its Standing Committee for Diversity and Inclusion, the Palm Beach County Bar Judicial Relations Committee, and the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit's Pro Bono Committee (chair). Feuer also served as a member of the Palm Beach County Advisory Commission on Women, a board member of the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches, a judicial liaison to the Palm Beach County Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and a judicial representative for the Palm Beach County Criminal Justice Reentry Task Force.

She is a co-founder of the Women's Foundation of Palm Beach County.

Feuer was named Jurist of the Year by the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (2018) and Woman of the Year by the South Palm Beach County Florida Association for Women Lawyers (2015).
