Judge Susan S. Jensen - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Susan S. Jensen is a family court commissioner for the 31st Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. She was appointed to the bench in 2016.

The 31st Judicial Circuit includes Greene County.

Prior to her appointment, Jensen handled family law matters at Pratt & Jensen since 1995. She was also a former law clerk to the Hon. Nancy Steffen Rahmeyer (2001 to 2002) and the Hon. John E. Parrish (1994 to 1995) with the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District, and the Hon. Paul M. Spinden with the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District (1993 to 1994).

Jensen received a B.A. in communications from William Jewell College in 1990. She went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Iowa College of Law in 1993.

Jensen served as a Springfield Representative and section chair of the Family Law Section of the Missouri Bar. She was a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a speaker at the Pregnancy Care Center.

She is the recipient of the Roger P. Krumm Family Law Award from the Missouri Bar (2014) and the Women’s Justice Award from the Missouri Lawyers Weekly (2012).
