Biography

The Hon. Susan St. John is a judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. She was elected to the bench in 2014 and retained in 2020.


The 6th Judicial Circuit encompasses Pasco County and Pinellas County. She has presided in the Civil, Family, and Criminal Divisions.


St. John attended the University of Central Florida, where she received a bachelor’s degree in 2000. She went on to earn a J.D. at Stetson University College of Law in 2003.


After graduating from law school, St. John joined the Office of the State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit. She began as an assistant state attorney, handling juvenile, domestic violence, and child abuse cases before rising through the ranks to become the supervising attorney of the Gang Unit.


St. John is a veteran of the United States Army, where she served as a parachute rigger (1991 to 1997).
