Judge Suzanne S. Brooks: Professional Background and Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Suzanne S. Brooks (Ret.) was a judge for the Williamson County Court at Law No. 1 in Texas. She was elected to the bench in 2002, becoming the first elected female trial court judge in Williamson County. Brooks retired in 2018.


During her judicial tenure, she spearheaded the establishment of the Court Appointed Special Advocate program in Williamson County in 2009.


Prior to her election, she spent ten years as a prosecutor in both Harris and Williamson Counties.


Brooks received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi. She went on to complete a J.D. at South Texas College of Law Houston.
