Judge William J. Terrence: Professional Background and Legal Expertise

The Hon. William Terrence is a judge for the Fresno County, California Superior Court. He was elected to the bench on June 5, 2018.

Judge Terrence graduated from Whittier College in Costa Mesa, California with his J.D.

Judge Terrence, first began practicing law in 2004 working alongside well-known Fresno attorney Mick Marderosian. He then served as a prosecutor for 11 years with the Fresno County District Attorney's Office starting in 2007. He was a Senior Deputy District Attorney with the D.A.'s office when he was elected to the Superior Court.

He is a certified specialist with the State Bar of California.

Prior to his election to the bench, Judge Terrence was the Planning Commissioner for Clovis, California.

He has stated that he enjoys spending time with his family as well as coaching his sons’ baseball teams in his free time.
