Judge Sara Murphy Bondurant - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Sara Murphy Bondurant is a special judge for the Oklahoma County District Court (District 7) in Oklahoma.

In 2019, Bondurant joined Graft & Walraven, PLLC as a senior attorney, where she directed the estate planning, business planning, and elder law sections.

She was also the founder of the Oklahoma County Courthouse Access Clinic, the managing partner at Legacy Legal Center, PLLC, a municipal judge for the City of Cashion, and a deputy/investigator for the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office.

Bondurant received a B.S. in legal studies from East Central University in 1999. She went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2002. She was admitted to practice in Oklahoma and the United States District Court for the Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma.

Her memberships have included the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the WealthCousnel, and the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys.

From a civic standpoint, Bondurant was involved with Areawide Agency (past board member and chairman), the Oklahoma Puppy Express (board member and chairman), and the Oklahoma/Arkansas Alzheimer’s Association (past chairman of the board).

She is the recipient of the Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award from the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Outstanding Attorney Volunteer from the Oklahoma Lawyers for Children, and the Fifty Making a Difference from Journal Records.

In her free time, Bondurant enjoys fishing.
